Coming out of Hibernation... just in time for winter!

What a strange time we live in. Covid 19 and Lockdown here in the countryside in NZ has been quiet.. weirdly and beautifully quiet. It was a real nuisance to have the ‘flu but such a great time to have at home with my lovely man. His bosses were very considerate with my immune compromised situation and let him stay home for a month.. so instead of bringing in new chances of infection each day we shared time.

The beauty of our land and the generosity of our neighbours was so uplifting. Local folk delivered flour, fresh homemade bread, seedlings and seeds for the garden and offered to do so much more. Friends rang and messaged from overseas, from around the country with good will, offers of support and wonderfully bent humorous memes and anecdotes (just the way I like them) and the sun shone.

I designed much but created little... a sad, scary and yet beautiful time to pause and be grateful... now we move to whatever this winter will bring.

No new cases in many days... may it last.
