The roses are in full bloom and the petals are tumbling onto the lawn and the table.
Although it’s a couple of weeks before summer officially starts the heat in the middle of the day encourages me inside.
I’m doing some tumbling of my own... the safe kind. I have a wee mechanised barrel, partially filled with pieces of stainless steel. If you drop water and a few pieces of metal in it and leave it for a few hours the result is beautiful. The pieces hold their shape better and develop a lovely sheen.
I have two markets coming up in the next few weeks so I’m busy preparing. Come along if you’re in Hamilton ... Waikato Market Day on Sunday 22/11 9 - 1.30 at the theatre site in Riverlea Road.
If you’re in Raglan on Sunday 13/12 ... there’s the Raglan Creative Market 10 - 2 at the Old School Arts Centre.
Of course if you can’t make it to either you can always email me with a request and I’m happy to post within New Zealand (and overseas when I get PayPal up and running).
All the best of wishes from the Valley.
Jan x
